With a track record of successfully facilitating large-scale projects and coordinating the interconnection of significant power generation capacity, Chibu brings a unique skill set to PowerConnectiv Consulting.

With over 12 years of experience, Chibu has played a pivotal role in the interconnection of over 5 gigawatts of new power generation within the PJM footprint. Through his adept coordination and comprehensive understanding of the interconnection process, he has successfully navigated the complexities of integrating new power sources into the PJM transmission system.

Furthermore, Chibu has demonstrated his exceptional project management skills by coordinating the construction and commissioning of nearly $1 billion worth of transmission infrastructure across Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and Ohio. Through his involvement in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan (RTEP) process, he has contributed to the resolution of reliability and market efficiency violations, ensuring the seamless operation of the transmission system.

At PowerConnectiv Consulting, Chibu serves as the driving force behind coordinating new-generation facility studies. By developing comprehensive reports that outline the necessary local and network system reinforcements to accommodate interconnection requests, He enables our clients to navigate the intricate interconnection queue process with ease.

As a seasoned professional, Chibu possesses in-depth knowledge of PJM’s Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and Manuals, allowing him to provide valuable insights and guidance to clients. His proficiency in these crucial regulatory documents ensures that our clients receive accurate and up-to-date information pertaining to the interconnection process.

Prior to joining PowerConnectiv Consulting, Chibu excelled in his role as a Project Manager and Infrastructure Coordinator at PJM Interconnection LLC. During his tenure, he managed the budget, scope, schedule, and technical requirements of various power plants and transmission system enhancement projects. Acting as a liaison between PJM and Transmission Owners, Generator Owners, Project Developers, and other stakeholders, he fostered collaboration and ensured effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, he played a key role in facilitating the generator retirement process within the PJM footprint.

Before his time at PJM, Chibu honed his technical expertise as a Project Engineer at Genesis Engineers, Inc. His work primarily focused on providing technical consultation and developing electrical engineering designs for the pharmaceutical industry and major data centers. Adhering to the National Electric Code and industry guidelines, he delivered robust solutions that met the unique requirements of each project.

Complementing his practical experience, Chibu holds a master’s in business administration from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Temple University.
